Here is the DEAL – can you imagine: punk rock band The Ramones met at another part of the globe, but at a similar decade?  Instead of New York City they formed in Kingston/Jamaica and how would they had expressed their anti-stance while being inspired by  King Tubby instead of MC5 and the Stooges ? Having Rock’n’Roll as a common origin but in a different understanding. A provoke theory with a kind of surealistic touch.

The DUBMONES: emerged from the entourage of the 2008 “DubXanne ” project (The Police In Dub) on Echo Beach, this latest project does give an insight how it might have sounded if The Ramones would have created their songs in a different way, by still keeping its original attitude and message.  The whole scenario of  “DUBMONES – IN DUB – or subtitled Tribute To The Ramones“  is in full process, containing all their potent  and recognizable tunes !

“Blitzkrieg Bop“, „Sheena Is A Punkrocker“, „I Wanna Be Sedated” or „Rock’n’Roll Highschool“  and many others will finally create a full length album and a picture of how it could have sounded if Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee and Tommy would have met in their rehearsal room from jam to jam on “a kind of Rocksteady“ instead. The vocal guests on the the upcoming celebration are Dennis Alcapone, Keith & Text, U Brown, Prince Alla, Earl 16, Ranking Joe, Oku Onuora, Alpheus, Welton Irie and Susan Cadogan.
