DR. DUBENSTEIN – DUGA 3

On their debut album “Conspiracy Theory” – which came out in 2017 – Dr. Dubenstein hit listeners with discourse dub with a conspiratorial touchdown – thus easily garnering themselves the accolade of being one of the most interesting acts of their genre in that year.

Derrick Parker aka Dr. Dubenstein entrances listeners with a dreamy, sure handed mixture of roots, psychedelic spirit and electronic tinkering that guides us unerringly to an altered state.

Formidable musicians from Steel Pulse, Dub Syndicate, Roots Radics jam and conjure up heavily rolling rhythms – and rumour has it that there were even WAILERS warhorses involved in the project to add some melody. It looks like that a couple of beats where still around and he formed DUGA 3…!

WHAT EXACTLY IS DUGA 3 ?

A Soviet over-the-horizon radar system used as part of the Soviet missile defense early- warning radar network. The Duga systems were extremely powerful, over 10 MW in some cases.

The unclaimed signal was a source for much speculation, giving rise to theories such as Soviet mind control and weather control experiments. NATO military intelligence had already given it the reporting name STEEL WORK or STEEL YARD likely based on the massive size of the transmitter

The radar system was given the code 5Н32-West by the soviets. N A T O was aware of the installation a second installation was built near Komsomolsk-on- Amur, in Bloshya Kartel and Lian, but did not become active for some time.
