SERGEANT STEPPA -ROCKERS 2000

Sergeant Steppa is Ben Belafonic from Brighton/UK. He was a member of the bass and heavy beat dub band DREADZONE from London. In the 90ties he became famous with his Bi-Polar project and remixed The Rolling Stones as well as Afro Celt Soundsystem. His style (breakbeat, techno, big beats, acid, pop rap and dub) helped him out to start also his own label “Balafonic” and “Double Seven”. It was a dubwise dance ability capacity and spawned many sub genres. The “ROCKERS 2000” release in 2003 accomplished all these and became a classic release on 12” Vinyl. The Dreadzone remix appeared also on KING SIZE DUB Vol.9 back in the days ! NOW – first time available on digital format ever.
