He works in Toronto/ Canada and that is the erea where the genre’s busiest, most talented and possibly cleverest producer hails from. His first album “Champion Soundclash” in 2004 was a spot on the DUB map – but let´s see how it worked out more precisely after that.

Dubmatix has developed a unique signature of sound and style that is immediately recognizable – a Phil Spector-esque full sound utilizing heavy bass, majestic horn lines, and thick-set percussive grooves. He became famous for his remix skills and refined bands like Easy Star All Stars, John Brown´s Body, Dub Trinity, Morgan Heritage, Horace Andy, Linval Thompson, Zion Train, iLLBiLLY HiTEC, Tackhead, Sugar Minott, Megative, Dub Pistols, Dreadzone, Bob Marley, Kingston Express and many others.
Internationally Dubmatix has done Canada proud, having won several best album awards from Germany, France, Portugal & Italy. 2014 Dubmatix leapt onto Billboard Magazine’s Uncharted Top 50 Artists (making a list of the fastest-growing and developing artists around the world) ! In 2016 – The accolades continued with yet another honour awarded by Billboard Magazine (September 2016), who crowned Dubmatix “Is This Love” rendition as the #1 Bob Marley Remix of all time – to date, the track has garnered over 35 million streams & growing!
In the period of 2018/2019 has been yet another stellar year for the Canadian behemoth with multiple Dubmatix releases including the years biggest multi-award winning release with the legendary duo & 2017 Grammy – nominated artists Sly & Robbie . The album “Overdubbed – Sly & Robbie Meet Dubmatix” going on to win Dubmatix the Canadian Juno Award for Best Reggae Recording in March 2019 !
Over the years, Dubmatix has become one of the TOP reggae producers worldwide and is now booked worldwide as a producer, remixer, audio engineer and master engineer.
